Traffic filters and quality score

Flag or block bots, scripts, datacenter traffic and click abusers — and what the quality score means.

Every click is checked against six filters. For each one you choose what happens when it matches — per link, per rotator, or for everything at once.

Nothing, Flag or Block

ModeWhat happens
NothingThe filter is ignored.
FlagThe click is marked filtered (FCL) but still redirected normally.
BlockThe click is marked filtered and blocked (BCL) and sent to the Blocked Url — or a 404 if none is set.

The filters

FilterMatches when
SpiderA search-engine crawler: Googlebot, Bingbot, Yandex, Baidu, DuckDuckBot, Applebot and similar. Blocked by default.
ServerA script or tool rather than a browser (curl, python-requests, Postman…) or any other bot.
DatacenterThe IP belongs to a hosting provider such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, OVH or Hetzner.
Anonymous ProxyDatacenter traffic that also sends no browser language — a typical sign of a proxy.
Abuser30 or more clicks from the same IP within one minute.
IP/HOSTS ManagerThe IP is on your workspace block list. See Block or allow IPs.

Blocked clicks are still recorded, so you can see what was stopped. They never count as unique and never use up a cap.

The quality score (QIQ)

Each click also gets a quality score from 0 to 100. It starts at 100 and drops for every filter that matches — a lot for crawlers and blocked IPs, less for datacenter or proxy traffic. The QIQ column is the share of clicks scoring 50 or more.

On rotators you can use it directly: a rotator URL’s Min QIQ keeps low-quality visitors away from that URL.

Apply filters to all links at once

  1. Open User ProfileFiltering.

  2. Choose a mode for each filter and, optionally, a Blocked URL.

  3. Click Apply to ALL existing Links or Apply to ALL existing Rotators.

Tick “No Change” next to the Blocked URL to leave it as it is on each link.
