Set up a custom tracking domain
Run your tracking links on your own domain, like go.yourbrand.com, in three DNS steps.
Links on your own domain look trustworthy, keep your brand in front of visitors and are easier to move between tools. You can add as many domains as you like.
Add the domain
Open ToolsDomain Manager.
Enter the hostname and click Add Custom Domain.
Use a subdomain you don’t use for anything else, such as
go.yourbrand.com. Hostnames are lower-case.
Create the DNS records
The Domain Manager shows two records for each new domain. Add both at your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap…):
| Record | Value |
|---|---|
CNAME go.yourbrand.com | The target shown in the Domain Manager, e.g. edge.clicklookup.io. |
TXT _clicklookup.go.yourbrand.com | The verification token shown in the Domain Manager. |
Tip
Verify and set as default
Click Verify. Once the TXT record is found and the domain points to ClickLookup, it turns verified and appears in the link and rotator forms. If it fails, the Domain Manager shows what went wrong.
Click Set default on a verified domain to pre-select it for every new link and rotator. A workspace has one default domain.
Removing a domain
Delete a domain from the Domain Manager and its links and rotators fall back to the default tracking host. Their slugs stay the same, but any links you shared on the old domain stop working.
